THE CUSTOMS OF THE YANOMAMI

The customs of the yanomami is their traditions or what they believe in. There are many customs of the Yanomami some are even unknown, so I will only outline the ones I consider important.

1. The Yanomami don't have a chief, when they need to make the decisions that a chief would usually make is settled by the whole tribe with a vote.
2. In their free time they tell stories as a whole tribe.
3. The Yanomami have a very special way of fishing, they make a poison out of 9 different plants that is then placed into a basket which is placed into the water. Fish that swim past float up stunned and then the hunters spear them.
4. The Yanomami believe if they take to much or harm the rainforest will harm them back.
5.In the moring the Yanomami decorate themselves with paints made from plants.
6. The Yanomami tribes all live in one big circular hut called a Shanbono or Yanos.
